DEGUMA at India Rubber Expo 2019 Mumbai
As one of about 300 exibitors from the rubber and plastics industry this year DEGUMA once again presented its machine and service portfolio at the India Rubber Expo (IRE) in Mumbai / India. DEGUMA seized the three days of the trade fair to establish business contacts and to maintain long standing customer relationships. “Face-to-face contacts are of crucial importance in India.” explains sales rep and India expert Thorsten Orf DEGUMA’s repeated participation in the IRE in India. Orf and sales manager Sebastian Bein represented DEGUMA onsite from January 17th – 19th 2019. The IRE has been attracting more and more attention from international professionals from the rubber industry and had about 30,000 visitors this year.
Due to an extensive plantation sector, own basic raw material resources, and a growing reputation as an automobile hub, India is on the way to become a major player in the global rubber industry. Today India is already the 4th largest producer and consumer of natural rubber. In this context the India Rubber Expo provides a forum for encouraging the cooperation and networking of international and Indian companies from the rubber sector.
