Machine manufacturer DEGUMA-SCHÜTZ GmbH has been invited as an associate member of the German Rubber Manufacturers Association (wdk) as of June 15, 2021.
The wdk is the umbrella organization of German manufacturers of tires and technical elastomer products. It represents over 160 companies with around 75,000 employees and total annual sales of just under twelve billion euros.
As a manufacturer for rubber and plastics processing machinery, DEGUMA looks forward to exchanging ideas with other wdk members in the future and jointly developing solutions for future challenges. "Our main strategic focus in the coming months and years is the development of energy-efficient solutions and fulfillment of the wdk's sustainability charter," says Daniela Dingfelder, Chief Operating Officer of DEGUMA.
DEGUMA-SCHÜTZ GmbH was founded in 1990 and specializes in the construction and modernization of machines for rubber and plastics processing. The portfolio also includes services such as safety retrofits and the DEGUMA efficiency concept, which equips used machines with state-of-the-art drive, control, and safety technology, thereby sustainably increasing their service life and saving energy.
"We would like to develop machines and service offerings primarily in partnership with processing companies to solve real processing and application challenges. We see our membership as a suitable framework for this and are delighted to be accepted as an associate member," explains Viktoria Schütz, Chief Executive Officer of the machine manufacturer.
