Dear Mr. Schack, when did you start working for DEGUMA?
I started working for DEGUMA-SCHÜTZ GmbH on July 1, 2010.
What is your job at DEGUMA?
I work in the construction department.
Which activities do you enjoy most?
Most of all, I enjoy finding solutions for the tasks I am given. Simple solutions are usually the most elegant solutions. These solutions are often developed or discussed together with colleagues from the workshop. This ensures that a new development or modification is really geared towards practical use.
What experience have you gained over the years?
During my time at DEGUMA-SCHÜTZ GmbH I was able to gain considerable experience. For example, I visited a trade fair in Dubai and afterwards went to India for the next trade fair (see picture). I was also in Austria with a colleague to measure machines for a conversion.
And what has been your most exciting project so far?
The most exciting project so far has been the new development of 1000 x Ø 400 mixing mills, but also smaller projects like strip cutters can be very exciting.
What motivates you in your work?
This may sound a bit corny, but it motivates me to find a really well thought-out solution for a given task, such as in developing the new 1000 x Ø 400 rolling mills. It is nice to see how the ideas, work and effort we put into such a project takes shape.
Where are you from?
I come from the beautiful town of Tann in the Rhön Mountains.
What do you enjoy doing most when you have time off from your daily work routine?
I enjoy meeting friends or also working at the fire department.
