10 years at DEGUMA
Our Sales Representative Heike Pfaffl recently celebrate her 10th anniversary with us. She's actually been working for us for much longer but read further and find out yourself!
Dear Ms. Pfaffl, when did you start working for DEGUMA-SCHÜTZ GmbH?
I started at DEGUMA-SCHÜTZ in 1996. It was my first job after my apprenticeship as a foreign language correspondent. In 2005, I moved out of the area for personal reasons and had to look for a new employer. In 2009, I rejoined the DEGUMA team thanks to the opportunity to work from home.
We are excited that you have become a member of our team again. What do you do at DEGUMA?
I work in sales at DEGUMA. Starting with customer acquisition and customer base maintenance, I am responsible for preparing offers, order completion and processing as well as translations.
What experience have you gained over the years?
I have gained extensive experience at DEGUMA, simply because the area of responsibility is so broad. I accompany customers from initial contact and quotations to personal meetings and machine delivery and therefore gain insight into the entire process. Good cooperation within the sales department and across all departments is, of course, very important. Since we deliver our machines worldwide, you get to know others as well as their own country-specific traditions and approaches, which is very exciting.
Which tasks do you enjoy most?
I really appreciate generally being able to work flexibly and independently from home. This is ideal for customer acquisition and maintaining contacts. I like the wide range of tasks and am pleased that I can apply my language skills with our international customers.
What motivates you in your work?
Satisfied customers who always like to come back to us.
Where are you from?
I am originally from Heringen/Werra in Hesse. But I have been living near Gießen for nearly 15 years now.
What do you like to do when you have a break from day-to-day business?
Spend time with my two children and a lot of reading.
Which languages can I use to contact you?
I gladly communicate in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
